Job Title: Senior Pastor

In 1887, an old pine field with only a cemetery and pine trees was purchased and designated for divine worship. It was called “Piney Grove” known currently as Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church (PGEMBC). The church has grown from a mere two room edifice (Pastor’s office and multipurpose room) to a sanctuary seating over 400, an educational building (youth center), a fitness center, a separate fellowship hall (the previous sanctuary) and an immaculate cemetery for peaceful visits and a desired place of final earthly rest. “PGEMBC lives and operates by the vision of being committed to being a place of worship where the Spirit of Christ is alive and empowering people who are determined to know God, while reaching out in love.”

Required Education:
Minimum – Bachelor’s Degree
Theology Seminary School Certification

Required Experience:
• Previous Pastoral experience (preferred)
• Creating and managing the success of a budget
• God-fearing Christian of the Baptist faith

• Preach the word. Teach God’s way as revealed in the Holy Bible. Love the members. Assist in worshipping throughout the community.
• Maintain a vision for the youth through seniors who encompasses a growing-community church.
• Create order of service, worship, and ceremonies
• Spiritually lead mediator and decision maker
• Supporting and guiding the congregation through counseling, discipleship, and visitations with a timely presence
• Ensuring the church functions by overseeing the church staff, finances, and strategic planning for future growth
• Promote active participation in Bible study, prayer service, and other spiritual disciplines
